  35-year-old Emmanuel Uyamadu and his pregnant wife, Chisom Uyamadu, 27, were among the people who lost their lives in the explosion that rocked Abule - Ado community, in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Sunday, March 15. The wife's 18-year- old cousin, Chinenye Manafa, also died in the incident.   The deceaseds were at home relaxing after returning from church, when the blast occured. They reportedly tried to escape by running out of the compound but were consumed by the fire as Emmanuel struggled to open his gate.   Emmanuel and Chisom were laid to rest amidst tears in their hometown in Igbakwu, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State on March 27.   See photos and video from the burial ceremony below.

  Woman beats her maid to death then abandons the body in a bush in Anambra A woman has been arrested after she beat her maid to d€ath then dumped the body in a bush in Anambra state.   The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Anambra Command, arrested the woman after which she confessed to the crime.   The woman took NAPTIP officials to the bush where she buried the child.   Speaking in Igbo, she said: "I beat her and she started convulsing so I took her to Kings (hospital). Getting there, she died, so I threw her body here."   The child's body was already decomposing in the video shared online.   The woman will be charged to court.

  This is very unfortunate. A man and his female partner have been killed in a fatal accident which reportedly happened early this morning in Rivers state. The couple were said to be on a power bike before the accident occurred near Bori Camp (Aba road) in Rumukpakolosi, Port Harcourt, the state capital. The couple died instantly according to reports as another person who was trying to cross the road was also hit and killed by the speeding motorcycle and his leg crushed in the process.   Cheering news from the University of Ilorin Teaching hospital as a set of conjoined female twins were successfully separated by a team of medical experts on Thursday, January 14.   The babies were separated by a 66-member all Nigerian team of paediatric surgeons, paediatricians, paediatric cardiologist, anaesthetists, cardiothoracic surgeon, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral scientists and many more.     The team was led by Paediatric surgeon, Prof Lukman Abdul-Rahman who is pictured above carrying the babies.   Congrats to the team!

  A Young Couple, Somtochukwu Benjamin and Olivia Chinoyelum, have died in a fatal motor accident one month after their wedding.
